Ashes of Creation Smashes Kickstarter Funding Goal In Less Than 24 Hours

Ashes of Creation begin its Kickstarter campaign yesterday, 1st of May. Seeking $750,00, funding for the game was completed less than 24 hours later. As of time of writing, more than three thousand backers have pledged their support to see this unique MMORPG come to life.

Chances are, the overall funding will be higher in the next 20 or so days remaining for the campaign. Developers Intrepid Studios have also included various stretch goals that will be unlocked after the one million dollar funding mark. These actually sounds really good and will add more exciting content for the game. They include Parlour games, which players can play in taverns with each other. Then there’s naval battles, and group mounts for everyone once the $1.5 million mark is achieved.

We’ve already covered why Ashes of Creation will be a breath of fresh air for the genre. It’s a game full of world building, player choices that matter, player driven economies, politics and sandbox freedom. But beyond that, there’s more that is alluring for the average MMO player. It’s got fantastic graphics, running on an engine that most MMOs don’t use.

It’s hard to not jump aboard the hype train just now, and seeing how the Kickstarter campaign got smashed so quickly, a lot of us feel the same. The cheapest pledge available is priced at $25, which will get you the game during the estimated delivery date of December 2018. To check out the Kickstarter page, check out this link.
