Spring Festival Is Live On Lord Of The Rings Online

Update 20 may have just gone live this week, but that’s not stopping LOTRO from setting off the Spring Festival. The seasonal festivities are now live in the game and players can take part in plenty of activities for fun rewards.

The Spring Festival will activate quests and activities in the main cities throughout Middle Earth. Players can take part in the hedge maze in the Bree festival grounds and stomp shrews in The Shire.

Of course, the horse races are back too. If you fancy your hand-mouse coordination skills, try your luck at earning some Spring Tokens. Festival vendors are available to offer new rewards for barter. The two new cosmetic kites looks great, and there’s more cosmetic outfits to gain as well.

Players who are looking to gain reputation with the infamous Ale Association and Inn League can do so too.

The timing of the festival is spot on in my opinion. Currently, majority of players are suffering very severe lagging issues in the new regions since the new update went live. According to this forum post, Standing Stone Games are aware of the situation and will be looking at a quick fix in the coming weeks.

Hopefully, the Spring Festival will offer players a temporary distraction while SSG get to work on fixing the lag. There are a lot of folks out there who’ve yet to play Update 20 Battle of the Black Gate. Therefore the best thing the game can do right now is to mitigate the damage and get that lag fixed. In the meantime, enjoy the festival!
